Thunder Rice

I could eat this everyday!
Thunder rice from Food Republic.. Really wish to go back to China Square (their main shop) to have a bowl of original thunder rice.. I believe the flavour of thunder rice in Food Republic has been adjusted to fit tourist/majority taste... Basil smell is not as flavorful and strong :(

Everything Olive Oil

Chin Yee Farewell at Italiannies Triple One
Price shoot up from 15.90 nett to 16.90++ (around $20)
French Onion Soup
Appetizer plate, good stuff to highlight would be their grapes pasta, seafood in white wine, sauteed mushroom and grilled tomatoes
Pasta of the day are Calamari shell pasta and Bolognese pasta
Pizza of the day are garlic pizza and salami pizza
Cafe latte to round up everything again...  (Latte inclusive in the buffet)

Food variety depends on day, depends on luck. Prefer the selection the last time we visit..

Ko Ryo Jeong

Bernice suggest a place to celebrate for passing our excel 2007 specialist course with flying colors :) Certs will be send to our home in about 1-2 mth time from Microsoft ^^
Ko Ryo Jeong at International Plaza level 2
Seafood Pajeon $16, crispy and not too oily! :) Only if Pajeon in Singapore are not ridiculously priced, i would have eat it everyday!
Soya sauce and vinegar mix for Pajeon
Sam Gye Tang (Ginseng chicken soup) $15. Honestly, we didn't smell or taste the ginseng.. they probably just added 1 of 2 thinly sliced ginseng into the soup.. If you regard this as a normal chicken soup, it's considerably decent... chicken is juicy and tender, you can separate the meat from the bones easily..
Tip to eat Sam Gye Tang: According to the husband, they eat the chicken meat separately with Korean salt (probably sea or raw salt)
Bulgogi (beef) $15, different from normal bulgogi, they choose to use thicker meat.. reminds me of Chinese style stir fried beef using Korean sauce.. Taste good, but it leave you wondering if the meal you had earlier was Korean or Chinese..

Restaurant offer a 10% discount with DBS credit card.. Lady boss wasn't as rude as commended by some of our friends, she probably had a mood swing the other day?!

Review tasted by local tongue, might needa bring the husband back one day to try if they are really good.. :)

How Starbucks Saved My Life

One nice book i couldnt get my hands off, even better, Tom Hank called and say he is going to make this into a movie...
Michael Gates Gill, once a VP in Americian top advertising firm now a coffee master in Starbucks..

Bimi Kaiho

Michelle recommendation, Bimi Kaiho at International Plaza
Small cozy Japanese corner crowded with Japanese expat even after office hour..
Sooju of their regular
My sushi soba set $16 + 10% service charge, no GST :)
One plus! Their sushi follows the authentic Japanese style with minimal rice, so both side of the salmon and tuna are touching the plate, not sure you know what i mean...
Splurp! I only visit International Plaza for one reason, job agencies!! Didnt know about hidden gems in corner of CBD.. Yummy!!

律政新人王II

Just complete 律政新人王II, nice drama but ending was alittle too rush/ too bull... Overall still worth watching..

Yeah holiday tml, but i am bringing home work to do.. :(

Trung Nguyen Coffee

I never drink a frappachino after reading that Starbucks book, starting to appreciate the aroma of coffee
Coffee after meal was luxury. $6.90 sure is one expensive esspresso cup, this is about double the price of what VaVaVoom (Vietnamese restaurant) is offering..
Also to mention, Liang Court Trung Nguyen Coffee was a dead/private zone after working hours... Perfect dating corner of your own (a suggestion for you know who you are) ^^
This hit the husband a big one, he was so takenaback just now when he took a small sip.
Tira-Mis-U...  I-Mis-U...

Needless to introduce, pure evil-doing of mascarpone cheese, coffee cake and cacao powder...

Tampopo Liang Court

Wanted to visit the Taiwan street-food fare featured on News5 but the queue was horrible horrible horrible, didn't have a choice, we turned back to Liang Court! Spot this anniversary promotion by Tampopo, having  up to 50% discount for selected black pig items.
The husband waiting for his food at タンポポ
Me and My Mentaiko 明太子 Onirigi
Most worth $2.50 i paid for onigiri!! Shiokness... i love mentaiko! I even bought mentaiko home (for tapas) from Mediya supermarket at Liang Court basement..
Ton Katsu Ramen.. Though the soup base was mild spicy but it is so rich and flavourful!! If you are looking for some chunky meat to sung your teeth in and didn't want to miss out the flavourful pig bone boiled ramen soup base, this will be your ultimate pick.
Plus it's value for money also, $15+ before 20% discount
Top grade tontoro (black pork) katsu fillet strip set at $29+ before 40% discount
Crispy and juicy but not as thick and oily as Tonkichi (thank god)..
Their Miso soup have bacon meat slice, koniyaku and some radish or herbs ingredient that i am not very sure about.. Anyway, thumbs up for this Miso :)
Worth to pay them a visit specially during the discount period.

Marble Slab Creamery

Thankful to Deal.com.sg voucher, we can enjoy 5 scoop of creamy indulgent from Marble Slab Creamery at a half price.
We choose pound cake and hot fudge for the inclusive add on..

Awfully Chocolate

Awfully chocolate shifted from Katong mall out to East Coast Road!
Sinful stacked layered chocolate cake.. Nice environment but really bad service, they didnt even serve ice water when you pay for their chocolate cake!

Dong Ji Korean Restaurant

One worst Korean restaurant we tried, Dongji at East Coast Road...
Gam Ja Tang (Potato Pork Rib Soup) plain as water, bland tasting..  I miss Kko Kko Nara Gam Ja Tang!
Boossam (steam three layer pork), this taste so different... more like a stew pork...  :(
They fight by quantity not quality.. wont bother to visit again...
